After months of planning, our Gala Charity Evening came together exactly as we’d hoped at Southport's Bold Hotel — a warm, generous, and genuinely memorable night raising £3,100 for two causes close to our community: Pancreatic Cancer UK and Cardiac Risk in the Young.
In loving memory
The evening was held in honour of two much-loved souls, Chrissie Carroll and Isabella Clark. It was a night of remembrance and celebration in equal measure — friends, family, and members coming together to mark their lives and to channel that love into something lasting for the charities that matter so much to those who knew them.
A team effort behind the scenes
The night wouldn’t have happened without a group of people who quietly pulled it together in recent months. Lisa and Niamh worked tirelessly to secure raffle prizes in the run-up, then shone again on the night itself, driving ticket sales right through to the final draw. Their energy added meaningfully to the final total.
We’re also hugely grateful to Steve Dickson and Customer Journey — who handled the design, production, entertainment acts and hosting of the evening.
The entertainment
The line-up gave the evening its rhythm:
• Matt Robinson on saxophone, setting the tone as guests arrived
• John Parry, the comedic magician, working the room with sleight of hand and laughs in equal measure
• Kelly Bond, Southport’s own top vocalist, closing things out in style
Three very different acts, one cohesive night.
Thank you
To everyone who attended, donated a prize, bought a raffle ticket, or helped behind the scenes — thank you. Your kindness and generosity will make a real difference to Pancreatic Cancer UK and Cardiac Risk in the Young, and you helped turn a difficult subject into a beautiful evening of love, legacy, and community.
